Departure Activities

We leave tomorrow, Saturday, at 6 am.  Forecast is for fog but not pea soup, little or no wind from the NW and no swell.  That is, to start with.  We planned this calm time so Barry can test out his new whisker/spinnaker pole.  Then by afternoon we will have either motored or slowly sailed into the "Outer Waters" where the fun begins.  Strong northwesterlies, heavy swell but going our way so we are good.
To do today Friday:
Turn in rental car
Get last packages from Mariner's Mail Stop and turn in keys.
Produce from Vons
Wash clothes
Bathe

BIGGIES:
Inmarsat talks to computer but has nothing to say.  Fix.  Call Stratos.
Barry's electrical gizmo with the graphical green lights is buzzing. Fix
New computer doesn't like the electricity from the above.  Ignore.  Hope this computer works for the duration.
I think the solar panels are not working right but I was busy trying to fix everything else so I'm not sure.
Water pump sounding weird. Fix.

Last night the Girardots took us out to dinner.  Patti and Gene, neighbors on Swell Girl supplied a gourmet lunch yesterday.  Gene knows all about electricity and maybe can help Barry.  Tomorrow morning they all show up to see us off.

OK.  My dude has awakened.  Talk to you later!

  1. Bon voyage and fair winds. You guys should be in French Polynesia about the same time as Sam and Marilyn right?
